Microsoft discontinues support for
Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP2

23 February 2010

13 July 2010 is the day that that Microsoft ends support for Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP2. After this date, neither Microsoft nor Axon will be able to provide new patches or software updates to protect Windows 2000 or Windows XP SP2 operating systems against exploitation, security flaws or application incompatibilities. Please also note that 13 April 2010 is end-of-support for Windows Vista RTM version.

Axon has a full range of discovery tools available to help you identify any old equipment that may be lurking in the shadows of your network.

We'd like to help you ensure your environment remains protected and any risks mitigated. We strongly encourage you to identify any remaining equipment in your enterprise that is running on the above operating systems and start planning now to migrate to Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
